MP3

Bitrate: The bitrate setting defines the quality of the MP3 output. A higher bitrate setting will produce better quality, while at the same time resulting in a larger file size. On the other hand, a lower bitrate will produce a smaller file size, while the quality is lessened.

Frequency: The frequency (sample rate) defines the number of samples per second to be used in the MP3 file created. 44,100 Hz is associated with CD quality output, while 48,000 is recognized as DVD quality. Other sample rates are used for lower quality/file size requirements.

WAV

Frequency: The frequency (sample rate) defines the number of samples per second to be used in the WAV file created. 44,100 Hz is associated with CD quality output, while 48,000 is recognized as DVD quality. Other sample rates are used for lower quality/file size requirements.

Channels: Allows for selection between stereo and mono WAV output.

WMA

WMA Profile: Enables you to select a Windows Media 8 or 9 profile to define the quality and characteristics of the WMA output. A higher bitrate profile yields better quality (and often higher resolution), while a lower bitrate produces smaller file sizes.
